Who we are

What we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address and company, plus the optional role, company size, area of interest and timeline you choose to share, and the message you write.
• Spam protection: a one-way hashed version of your IP address, your browser's user agent string, and the time of submission. We cannot recover your IP address from the hash.
• Analytics (only with your consent): pages viewed, approximate location at country or city level, device and browser type, referring site, and interactions such as clicking a call-to-action or switching language.
• Email: if we reply to you, the resulting email thread.

Why we collect it

• To answer your message and, if it makes sense, to talk about working together.
• To send you a confirmation copy of your own message for your records.
• To keep automated spam and abuse off the contact form.
• To understand which parts of the site are useful, so we can improve them.

We do not sell your personal information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not run advertising on this site and we do not build advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Hosting and database infrastructure, which stores contact form submissions and delivery logs.
• Email delivery, used to send the notification to us and the confirmation to you.
• Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.

Where your data is processed

Klarspel LLC is based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and the European Union. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States.

How long we keep it

• Contact form submissions and the resulting email conversation: up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Spam protection logs: up to 90 days.
• Analytics data: as configured in Google Analytics, currently up to 14 months.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to hello@klarspel.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.

California residents

If you are a California resident, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you specific rights over the personal information we collect, which for this site falls into the categories of identifiers, professional or employment information, and internet activity information.

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose.
• The right to delete personal information we hold about you.
• The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
• The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
• The right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Do Not Track

There is no common standard for how sites should respond to a Do Not Track browser signal. Because we load analytics only after you actively accept, declining the cookie banner has the same practical effect.

Children

This is a business site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls at our infrastructure providers. No system is perfect, so please do not send us sensitive personal data through the contact form.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
